Overview
Mealique helps you plan meals, track nutrition, and build eating plans. This policy explains what information the app uses and how it is handled.
Information we collect
The details you enter — name, email, body metrics, activity level, dietary preferences, and allergies — plus the food, water, exercise, weight, and fasting entries you log. This information is used only to run the app and personalize recipes, plans, and your daily nutrition targets.
How your data is stored
Your account and activity are stored in a secured database so you can sign in and pick up where you left off. Access is scoped to your account: your data is readable and writable only by you. We do not sell your personal data or use it to build advertising profiles.
AI features
Before the first AI request, Mealique explains the data being shared and asks for your permission. When you choose to allow it, Mealique sends the data needed for that request through Cloudflare AI Gateway and OpenRouter. Recipe and plan generation can send your prompt, dietary preferences, allergies, cooking preferences, calorie target, and selected recipe details. Meal Scan sends the photo you choose, and voice food or exercise logging sends the audio recording you choose. We do not intentionally include your account name or email in AI prompts. This processing is used only to provide the AI result you request; you can withdraw permission at any time from Profile → AI data sharing, and non-AI features remain available.
Barcode lookups
Scanning a barcode sends only the barcode number to the Open Food Facts database to retrieve product nutrition. No personal information is attached to the lookup.
Your choices
You can review or update your profile at any time from Profile → Body, diet & preferences. You can permanently delete your account and its data at any time from Profile → Delete Account.
Children's privacy
Mealique is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date on this page will be revised accordingly.
